What is MoltSets?

MoltSets is an Unlimited Contact Data API set built for Marketers using AI Agents, Claude Code, Codex, and Clay to reach out to prospects.

Our customers (or their Agents) hit our APIs to enrich their prospect lists.

We run 100% of our emails through a validation waterfall and include a “risk score” with each record.

Are your mobile phone numbers unlimited? Why does it say they are 10 external tokens per number?

MoltSets cannot offer unlimited real-time carrier verification on phone numbers because the verification process is an expensive, real-time, per-unit cost. We are consciously choosing quality over unlimited in mobile numbers. We will investigate how we might be able to include verified numbers in our unlimited plan at some point, but for now, we have to charge 10 TOK per number.

What makes MoltSets different from other contact data apps like Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, or Hunter.io?

What MoltSets IS:

1. APIs ONLY. No user interface to log into. People use MoltSets to enrich prospect lists in Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Clay, and other vibe-coded apps.
2. Unlimited pricing plans, starting at $27/mo, which eliminate unpredictable cost loops
3. 100% verified contact data. Emails have a “date of validation” under 30 days old, mobile numbers are carrier verified in real time
4. High coverage through a 20+ vendor waterfall
5. High rate limits - $97/mo plan is 75,000 requests every 5 hours

What MoltSets is NOT:

1. MoltSets does NOT have a user interface where salespeople can log in and do search with filters - we ONLY have search over API
2. MoltSets does NOT have any other features like a dialer, sequencer, or call recorder - we ONLY have our set of Contact Data and Enrichment APIs
3. MoltSets does NOT have per-seat pricing - anybody can use any API key as much as you want, so long as you stay below your rate limit and within the Fair Use Policy
4. MoltSets has high API rate limits at a fixed, throwaway price - whereas all other data vendors charge a high per-credit price for enrichment at a low rate limit
5. MoltSets does not have contracts or annual plans. Pay monthly, cancel when you are no longer getting value.

What is your “Risk Score”? What emails should I send to? What emails should I NOT send to?

In Spring of 2026 Microsoft began blocking email validation via SMTP check.

As a result, email validation rates from vendors like Neverbounce, Zerobounce, etc. have started returning “invalid” results for inboxes that are fully configured, can receive mail, and should be sent to.

To react to that, and provide as much transparency as possible, MoltSets has created an “Email Risk Score”.

We will append the score to the record in the API payload. The decision of what emails to send to is then up to you.

Does MoltSets have a high-quality B2B database? What do you do to make sure data is fresh and accurate?

We own another business called RB2B, and we have been maintaining a high-quality B2B database for years to enable that business.

Here are several things we do to actively maintain our B2B database:

• We filter out dead / inactive LinkedIn URLs.
• We filter out “bogus” LinkedIn URLs where the user has no work experience, has no title, is a student, or is not a member of the workforce.
• We process changes, job updates, and job changes every 2 weeks to keep the data fresh as professionals move around.

Who is MoltSets for?

There are four main personas who use MoltSets.

1. LeadGen Agencies use the $97 or $997/mo MoltSets by adding MoltSets to a waterfall of enrichment data providers, usually in Clay, Claude Code, or Codex. Agencies can get $500/mo off the $997 plan by joining our UGC program and posting 2x/mo on LinkedIn.
2. AI-Native Founders use the $97 or $997 MoltSets Unlimited APIs to power their own Agentic Go-To-Market stacks, depending on rate limit needs.
3. Marketing/RevOps use the $97 or $997/mo MoltSets Unlimited APIs if they have sellers doing prospecting working out of Claude and want to give their reps the ability to self-source leads.
4. Individual Sales Reps use the $27mo MoltSets APIs to enrich lists and execute AI-enabled workflows directly in Claude.
5. AI Agents use any of the MoltSets plans to enrich lists built either in MoltSets or to enrich lists built in other places as part of a larger Agentic workflow.

When you say “MoltSets is built for AI Agents”, what does that actually mean?

We designed MoltSets around the assumption that agents will soon become autonomous, so we built in safeguards that don’t require a human watching every call.

Here are some of the things we did to cater to AI Agents:

1. Flat-rate unlimited pricing eliminates the agentic cost explosion problem. No need for cost caps or call-counting logic.
2. High rate limits at a throwaway price makes the agents’ humans happy.
3. MCP-native means Claude can call MoltSets without any custom integration code.
4. Same request shape and response envelope across all APIs. If your agent learns one API, it knows them all.
5. Data quality is high enough you don’t need to retry enrichment runs or re-validate. We return a “risk score” with every record, so you can decide who to send to.
6. Our data waterfalls maximize first-call coverage. You don’t have to build your own waterfalls (unless you want to).
7. Free account/billing/usage endpoints so agents can monitor activity without consuming credits.

Does MoltSets really have unlimited data?

Yes. MoltSets accounts are limited by rate limits, not data, and are also governed by a Fair Use Policy to prevent abuse.

If your data is Unlimited, what is an “external token”?

If we cannot return a valid email address from our own dataset, we will check a waterfall of other vendors to find a valid email address for that contact and charge 1 credit (as low as 2c). This materially increases coverage.

We also charge 5 external credits (as low as 10c) for a carrier-verified mobile phone, since verifying mobiles in real-time is an expensive variable cost.

Our goal is to include enough external credits in each plan to where only power users would need to buy more of them.

If your data is Unlimited, why do you have a “Fair Use Policy”? How does your “Fair Use Policy” work?

MoltSets is designed to be a high-quality, high rate-limit, API-only prospecting database for people building AI-first go-to-market workflows in Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Clay, or any other Agentic system.

We designed our Fair Use Policy around one simple truth: real AI agents don’t scrape 24/7. They burst, then pause.

We designed our Fair Use Policy to have 5-hour windows that allow for bursts for the actual prospecting use case, while limiting weekly total records to prevent scraping our entire database.

We have lower SEARCH thresholds, and higher ENRICH thresholds. We limit REQUESTS at 5x the 5-hour record limit to further prohibit abuse.

Calls are only deducted from your 5-hour record window when you receive a positive response, or a real contact. Requests are deducted from your 5-hour window regardless of whether or not you receive a real, usable contact.

Can I sign up for multiple accounts from the same domain? Can I have multiple users on my account?

We only allow one account per domain.

However, you CAN invite multiple users per domain to access the account.

Are all of MoltSets’ emails and phone numbers verified?

Yes.

MoltSets runs all emails through a validation waterfall, and returns each record with a “risk score” so you can decide who to send to.

Mobile phones will ALL be real-time carrier-verified.

Should I use your API or your MCP?

The APIs and MCP both lead to the same product.

The API suite is used for integrating MoltSets into your back-end, scripts, or platforms like Clay or n8n that call it over HTTPS.

The MCP server is to interface with MoltSets conversationally via Claude Web, AI Agents, or Claude Code.

If you are not building your own software, the MCP and Claude Web is the quickest way to get started.

What can I look up with MoltSets APIs or MCPs? How can I enrich my prospect lists?

1. You can search our database for people or companies.
2. You can enrich lists of LinkedIn URLs with valid emails or verified mobile numbers.
3. You can do "reverse email lookups".
4. You can enrich a LinkedIn URL with a full business profile.
5. You can enrich an email list or LinkedIn URL with a SHA256 to make an ad audience.
6. You can enrich a list of emails with LinkedIn URLs.
7. You can enrich a list of IP addresses with company domains.

Can I make ad audiences with MoltSets for my Account-Based Marketing (ABM)?

Yes.

You can use our Email to MAID, Business Email to SHA256, and LinkedIn to SHA256 to create ad audiences that can be used for ABM in Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Is MoltSets data US-only or international?

MoltSets will launch with US data only.

We aim to add Europe/EMEA, Asia/APAC, and Canada by the end of Q3 2026.

What is MoltSets's coverage / return rate?

Our coverage / return rate is on par with other vendors based on tests by current MoltSets users. We encourage you to run a comparison of your own.

For External Tokens, am I charged per request or per result?

External Tokens are charged when an External call returns data. If the lookup finds no match, the credit cost for that call is zero. You can confirm this in the response metadata, where tokens_charged shows what the call cost and tokens_remaining shows your balance afterwards.

Are account and usage calls free?

Yes. get_account, get_billing, and get_usage never consume credits, so you can poll them as often as you need to track your balance and consumption.

How does your pricing work? How are the unlimited plans different?

Everybody starts for free with 1,000 API calls.

After that, depending on your use case, you choose from our three Unlimited Plans, which have different rate limits and include different amounts of External Tokens.

Is MoltSets pricing really unlimited?

Yes, our 3 Unlimited plans provide unlimited access to the core MoltSets data asset.

Plans are limited by rate limits. External vendor calls are required for verified phone numbers and emails sourced from external vendors — these use External Tokens.

To prevent abuse, all plans are subject to our Fair Use Policy.

How do I check my balance and usage?

Call get_billing for your plan, current balance, and the credit cost of each tool. Call get_usage with a period of today, week, month, or billing_cycle for a day-by-day breakdown of calls made, credits spent, successful lookups, empty results, and failures.

Do you offer refunds?

MoltSets does not offer refunds on purchases or renewals.

Because paid plans include unlimited use for the full billing period, the value is available from the moment payment is processed.

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.

How do cancellations work?

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings.

Cancellations and downgrades take effect at your next renewal date with no prorated refund, and you keep your current plan and rate limits until then.

How do I get an API key and authenticate?

What are MoltSets rate limits?

Each of our Unlimited Plans has a different rate limit.

You can upgrade to a higher plan to get a higher rate limit.

To prevent abuse, all plans are subject to our Fair Use Policy.

How do I connect the MCP to Claude?

1. Add MoltSets as a connector using the MCP server URL https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp
2. Authorise it with your MoltSets account.
3. The MoltSets tools then appear to Claude automatically and it can call them during a conversation.

The same connection works in other MCP-capable clients.

Can I enrich a whole list in one call?

It depends on the size of the list.

The enrichment tools accept a batch of up to 100 values per call.

For LinkedIn tools, pass linkedin_urls as an array instead of the single linkedin_url; for email lookups, pass emails as an array.

You cannot mix the single and batch parameters in the same request.

Can I see how many results a search will return before spending credits?

Yes.

search_linkedin_profile accepts count_only.

Set it to true to get the number of matching results without fetching any data and without charging credits, so you can tighten or loosen your search before committing to a full lookup.

Where does your data come from?

MoltSets aggregates many sources of data to form its own unique in-house database.

To keep coverage high, when a record is not available in-house, MoltSets checks external vendors for the record.

If an external vendor delivers a record, you are charged an External Token.

How can I opt out?

Retention.com is MoltSets’ parent company, so all opt-outs are for Retention.com and all of its businesses.
