Give your AI agent MoltSets
Your agent gets valid emails with A-F risk scores, carrier-verified mobiles, and people and company search, through MCP or REST.
Sign up first
An agent can’t create a MoltSets account, so you’ll need to sign up at app.moltsets.com first. Then create the credentials for the way your agent connects:
- / 01MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other chat and coding clients): a Client ID and Client Secret, created under Connectors.
- / 02REST and CLI (your own scripts, agents and terminal): an API key (
ms_XXXXXXXXXXX), created under API keys.
Paste this into your agent
Your agent reads our setup guide, tells you what to do on your side, and checks the connection works.
Set up MoltSets for me. Read https://moltsets.com/llms.txt and follow its Getting Started section to connect MoltSets in this client. Tell me exactly what I need to do on my side, then confirm the connection works by calling get_account.
Works in any agent that can read a URL.
Or connect it yourself
Every client connects to the same MCP server, https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp, and signs in over OAuth with the Client ID and Client Secret from Connectors.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, with the Client ID from Connectors:
claude mcp add --transport http moltsets https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp \
--scope user \
--client-id YOUR_CLIENT_ID \
--client-secret
--client-secret takes no value: Claude Code prompts for it, then opens the MoltSets consent screen in your browser.
Claude.ai
- Go to Customize → Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcpinto Remote MCP server URL. - Click Advanced settings and enter your OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret.
- Click Add, then sign in to MoltSets when asked.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector once for the organisation and each member connects to it.
Claude Desktop
Claude Desktop shares your Claude account’s connectors, so a connector you added on Claude.ai is already there. To add it here:
- Go to Customize → Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcpinto Remote MCP server URL. - Click Advanced settings and enter your OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret.
- Click Add, then restart Claude Desktop.
ChatGPT
- Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings.
- Go to Settings → Connectors and select Add custom connector.
- Name it MoltSets and enter
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcpas the MCP Server URL. - Select OAuth, then enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
- Log in to MoltSets and approve access.
Custom connectors need a ChatGPT Plus, Team or Enterprise plan.
Cursor
- Open Cursor Settings → MCP and select Add new MCP server.
- Choose HTTP (or Streamable HTTP) and enter
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp. - When Cursor asks you to sign in, enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
- Approve the connection in the browser tab that opens.
Or add it to .cursor/mcp.json. Cursor asks for your Client ID and Secret the first time it connects, so they’re never stored in the file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"moltsets": {
"url": "https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp",
"transport": "http"
}
}
}
VS Code
VS Code connects to any remote MCP server over HTTP. Add https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp as a server, and when VS Code asks you to sign in, use your Client ID and Client Secret from Connectors, then approve access in the browser.
Windsurf
- Open Windsurf Settings → Cascade → MCP Servers and select Add server.
- Enter
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcpand choose HTTP / Streamable. - When asked, enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
- Log in and approve access in the browser window that opens.
Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP can connect, including Grok, CLI agents and IDE extensions.
- Add
https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcpas a remote MCP server. - When asked for OAuth credentials, paste your Client ID and Client Secret. Clients that register themselves can skip this.
- Approve access on the MoltSets consent screen.
Every connection needs a User-Agent header. Most clients send one; if yours doesn’t, set one or the connection is refused.
Coding agent with a terminal? Use the CLI
For files and bulk jobs, Claude Code, Codex and other agents that run shell commands do better with the MoltSets CLI than with MCP: the rows go through the CLI, not the conversation. It uses an API key, not the MCP credentials.
Install
# Run without installing
npx moltsets --help
# Or install globally
npm install -g moltsets
Install the agent skill
moltsets skill install
Call the REST API
Create an API key under API keys, then POST a JSON body to https://api.moltsets.com/api/v1/tools/{tool} with Authorization: Bearer and a User-Agent header.
Every call that completes returns HTTP 200. Branch on status, not the HTTP code: not_found is a normal miss and costs nothing.
Full detail in the developer docs, or give your agent developer.moltsets.com/llms.txt.
Find a business email from a name and company domain
curl -X POST https://api.moltsets.com/api/v1/tools/search_business_email_by_name \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "User-Agent: YOUR_APP_NAME/1.0" \
-d '{"name": "John Smith", "company": "acme.com"}'
