Turn any IP address into a company
The IP enrichment API takes an IP address from your website traffic and returns the company behind it. Enrich that company with its industry, size, revenue and location, then find the people who work there. MoltSets resolves it in a single API or MCP call, and charges nothing when there is no match.

What the IP enrichment API returns
IP enrichment resolves an IPv4 address to the domain of the organisation behind the traffic. That domain is the key to everything else: firmographics from search_companies, and the team from search_people.
Each step is a single call over the API or the MCP, so an agent can turn a day of visitor logs into a list of companies and contacts without a human in the loop. Misses cost nothing, so it is safe to run on all your traffic.

What IP enrichment can and can’t do
No headline match-rate claim — here is where it works and where it doesn’t.
01 / Built for B2B traffic
IP enrichment works on business networks. Visitors on home broadband or mobile networks usually come from a consumer ISP and won’t resolve to a named company.
02 / A company, not a person
An IP tells you which organisation the traffic came from, not who the visitor was. Use search_people on the domain to find the likely people to contact.
03 / Misses are free
An IP that doesn’t resolve returns status: "not_found" and costs no tokens, so you can run every visitor through it and only pay for the hits.
04 / Premium flat files
For bulk IP-to-company data delivered as files, at $10k a year or more, talk to our data team.
What it costs
IP enrichment is included on every plan — there is no per-endpoint pricing. You are only charged when an IP resolves to a company, so a miss costs nothing on any plan. Full detail on the pricing page.

Questions & answers about IP enrichment
Frequently asked questions about resolving IP addresses to companies.
An IP enrichment API takes an IP address and returns information about who is behind it. For B2B, the useful answer is the company: MoltSets resolves an IPv4 address to the domain of the organisation the traffic came from, which you can then enrich with firmographics and contacts.
ip_to_company returns a list of company domains for the IP, each with a percentage. A miss returns HTTP 200 with status: "not_found" and an empty list. For company name, industry, size, revenue and location, pass the domain to search_companies.
No. It is built for business traffic. Visitors on home broadband or mobile networks usually come from a consumer ISP, and those addresses typically don’t resolve to a named company. That is why a miss costs nothing.
No. An IP identifies an organisation’s network, not an individual. Once you have the company, search_people finds the people there by title, department and seniority, so you can reach the right team.
The endpoint takes IPv4 addresses.
IP to company is an enrichment endpoint: you are only charged when a company is found, against your plan’s Fair Use limits. A miss costs no tokens, though it still counts as one request. Company and people searches you chain on afterwards use search records. See the pricing page.
Anywhere you already record them: web server or CDN logs, your backend’s request data, product analytics, or signup and form events. Send each IPv4 address to the endpoint, or have an agent work through a batch for you.
Yes. The Free plan includes 1,000 API calls so you can test it on your own traffic, and misses cost nothing.
IP to company returns organisations, not individuals. MoltSets processes business contact data under legitimate interest and honours opt-out requests across the whole database. See the compliance page for our certifications, sub-processors and DPA.
