Business Context

Build a full account intelligence doc before keyword research - product, ICP, pricing, competitors, and organic footprint from a site crawl plus Ahrefs.

What this skill does

Phase 1 of the topic research pipeline - but useful on its own. Before any keyword work, it builds a complete picture of the account so the output maps to commercial reality, not just search volume.

It crawls the client's site and pulls Ahrefs metrics to produce an Account Intelligence Document covering:

  • What they sell - product, features, differentiators
  • Who they sell to - ICP, segments, verticals
  • What they want to sell more of - commercial priorities, pricing
  • What already works - top organic pages, ranking keywords, competitors
  • Common objections and buyer questions

This is not topic research. This is account understanding - the foundation everything else builds on.

Inputs

  • Client domain - e.g. risevision.com
  • GSC data (optional) - gsc-keywords / gsc-pages if a Search Console MCP is connected

Requirements

  • Ahrefs MCP server connected (DR, top pages, organic keywords, competitors)

When it activates

  • "build account intelligence for [domain]"
  • "understand this client before keyword research"
  • /business-context <domain>

Output

An Account Intelligence Document: product, ICP, competitors, objections, commercial priorities, and organic footprint - ready to feed into opportunity extraction.

Tips

  • Feed the output straight into Opportunity Extraction for the next phase
  • Connect a GSC MCP first if you want existing winners and live queries folded in
  • The richer the account picture here, the more commercially grounded every later phase
