What this skill does
Most sites already rank for far more keywords than they actively target. Pages sitting at positions 4–15 have earned enough authority to rank - they just need sharper targeting or deeper content to climb.
Feed in a Google Search Console CSV and this skill:
- Parses the export and filters to the position 4–15 window (impressions ≥ 10, branded/navigational excluded)
- Crawls each ranking page to see what it currently targets (title, H1, content, structure)
- Classifies the gap between what the page targets and what it ranks for (7 gap types: title miss → depth gap)
- Validates demand via Ahrefs (volume, KD, traffic potential)
- Benchmarks the top 3 competitor pages per opportunity
- Scores every opportunity across 4 dimensions and prints per-page action cards
Every recommendation is grounded in live data - GSC, Ahrefs API, page crawls, competitor benchmarks. No invented figures.
Inputs
- GSC export (CSV) - any format with position + impressions. Queries tab, Pages tab, or a query+page breakdown all work
- Context (optional) - priority pages, target verticals, competitors that matter, anything to avoid
- Output path (optional) - where to save the report (default
./quick-wins-[domain]-[date].md)
Requirements
- Ahrefs MCP server connected (volume, KD, traffic potential, SERP overview)
- Google Search Console export for the target domain
When it activates
- "find SEO quick wins for [domain]"
- "what pages can I improve from my Search Console data"
- "I have a GSC export, where should I focus"
/seo-quick-wins <domain>
Output - per-page action card
### /page-url — Alternatives page — Score: 11/12

Traffic potential at #1: 18,400
Current avg. position: 5.3 | GSC impressions/mo: 420 | clicks/mo: 38
#### What the page has now
- Title / H1 / word count / notable gaps (no FAQ, no comparison table, no schema)
#### What top competitors look like
| Page | Words | Sections they have | Notable |
#### Action plan
1. Title tag edit (exact rewrite)
2. Word-count target (benchmarked to competitor average)
3. Specific H2s to add (with exact heading text)
4. FAQ block + schema
Cards are tiered: Tier 1 (10–12) do this week, Tier 2 (7–9) this month, Tier 3 (4–6) backlog. Printed inline and saved to file.
Tips
- Best GSC export: Search Results → last 3 months → Queries tab → Export CSV. Add the Pages tab too for deeper analysis
- Bottom-funnel commercial pages (alternatives, listicles, pricing) are always analyzed first, regardless of score
- Traffic potential is the number to watch - a vol-800 keyword can carry a TP of 23,000 when the #1 page ranks for hundreds of related terms
